The setting of this room, with its antique carved oak furnishings, stained glass windows and nineteenth century artifacts creates an atmosphere of Old World elegance and tradition. The Historic Glunz Tavern Room:

During the lively 1890s and the early decades of the 20th century, Louis Glunz Sr. was proprietor of a family style tavern in our south room adjacent to his wine shop. It bustled with friendly gatherings in the all German neighborhood of Wells Street that stretched north and northwest down Lincoln Avenue.  The glow of French and German stain glass windows creates an atmosphere of elegance and hospitality. A collection of rare crystal glassware from many lands is on display in antique cabinets. Wine casks recall the days when wine arrived in barrels to be aged, blended and bottled here in our cellar. An old sandwich board lists our former tavern fare which included a 10¢ Caviar Sandwich.

The Historic Glunz Tavern Room is suitable for larger gatherings with dining space for 30 sit down and 50 for receptions.  Classroom setup is appropriate for this room.
