"The 2004 Savennieres Les Clos Sacres is almost suspiciously deep golden in color for a youthful wine and its intensely peachy, exotically floral, and piquantly nutty, peach kernel-scented nose exhibits somewhat oxidative aspects. But this shockingly rich wine opulent in texture and densely layered on the palate with peaches, flowers, toasted nuts, mineral salts, wet stone and shell lime does not lack for vivacity nor a fresh, succulent, primary juiciness and charming suggestion of sweetness. Positively palate-staining, it finishes with myriad mineral nuances and low-toned nuttiness."
